Allow me to introduce Cheryl Jones
As a proud native Texan with deep roots in the Dalworth community of Grand Prairie, I am a bicentennial graduate of Grand Prairie High School and a first-generation college graduate. I cherish my roles as a wife, mother, grandmother, and beloved "granny" to my adorable grand-pets. My faith in Christ brings me the greatest joy, serving as my source of strength and guidance.
I’ve been a long-time resident of the Oakridge community in North Garland, where I’ve actively engaged through my membership in the Oakridge Neighborhood Association (ONA). In this capacity, I’ve held various roles, including President, Membership Director, Communications Director, and Nominating Committee Chair. A proud graduate of Garland's Citizens Police Academy Class 61, I also belong to the CPA Alumni. I attend Gateway Church and support several charitable organizations, such as the Union Gospel Mission Women’s Campus, North Texas Food Bank, and Good Samaritans of Garland, among others.
Music is a passion of mine, and I have a particular fondness for the diverse sounds of the 1970s. I love to travel, exploring new places, cultures, and cuisines, and of course, indulging in some wine tasting. I enjoy activities like swimming, playing cards, Dominoes, Jenga, and volleyball. Though I have a competitive spirit, I strive to be a gracious participant... most of the time. Being near water brings me immense joy—whether it's watching sunsets off the coast of Spain, enjoying the marina in San Diego, relaxing at Lake Ray Hubbard, or taking a weekend escape to Galveston Island.
It is truly an honor to serve with passion and purpose, guiding others on their journey toward homeownership and financial independence.
